Luke was married for 10 years, divorced and had spent the last two years of his life raising his two young daughters by himself. Chelsey was looking for a match on Christian Mingle and never thought about considering a divorced single dad as someone she’d like to date, but she figured she would see where things went. Not to mention, Chelsey lived in Connecticut and Luke in Pennsylvania. Luke and Chelsey began messaging on the Christian Mingle site and then immediately talked on the phone. Many emails and phone conversations passed, and Luke decided it was time to drive to Connecticut to take Chelsey out on a date.
After that first date, Chelsey and Luke were an official couple. That was June 2014. Fast forward many miles of driving to see each other that summer, and by September they were engaged. The date of the wedding is set for December 20, 2014.
