We were two strangers struggling through life trying to find that perfect soul mate. I was a single father of two kids and needed a Christian partner to help me along the way. Michelle was a single woman who was looking for the right man to fulfill her dreams. We were just about to give up when we tried Christian Mingle. I was not sure whether or not to try a new dating website, as online dating had not worked in the past, but I took a leap of faith.
On May 19, 2011, I sent her a smile but received no response. I was just about to give up when on May 26th, 2011, she smiled back at me. Michelle and I talked via email for a week before exchanging phone numbers. Once I had her number, I could not wait. I called her right away and we talked for 13 hours straight.
We talked on the phone for a week before deciding to meet in person. On June 10, 2011, we were finally able to meet. It took only a month before we got engaged on July 7, 2011 and only another two months before we got married on September 24, 2011.
Eleven months after being married, we welcomed our baby, Aurora, into this world on August 2, 2012. We have been married almost two years now and could not be any happier than we are right now. Praise be to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for bringing us together.
