Single parents Heather and Terry met on Christian Mingle and soon realized that they were meant to be a family. They were married on December 19, 2014. How did you meet? What was your first date like? Tell us all the details!
We met for the first time face to face at a local Starbucks. We had spent several weeks talking via the Christian Mingle website, then moved to texting and then to phone calls. We both have children from our previous marriages so we took it slow and did not let them know what was going on until we were confident in our relationship. Our first date was good, we talked for over an hour and agreed to another date later.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
We had been officially dating for about two months when I told her that I felt like I was wanting to tell her I loved her. I knew that after meeting each others kids and not running away screaming that she was the one God had sent me.
I love her more and less; more the day before and less then the day to come.
The day after our 2 year anniversary, we welcomed our daughter Emma Noelle into our family
We have been married since December of 2014 and the day after our 2 year anniversary, we welcomed our daughter Emma Noelle into our family and she has just been such an amazing addition to our lives. God truly has blessed us.
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
Do not be scared to take a step to find that one person you can eventually spend the rest of your life with. Especially if everything else seems to fall apart. God always will bless those who desire to seek His will for even their personal life.
