Toward the end of December 2010, I (Megan) set up a membership on Christian Mingle and began communicating with Brook, who lived in Colorado. It wasn’t until January that we had our first phone conversation. Both the physical and spiritual attraction was quite evident from the beginning, and we began talking on the phone several times every day. Our conversations constantly pointed to where each of us was individually and the direction we anticipated moving towards; both of which correlated in nearly every aspect! After several weeks of conversations, Brook told me that he wanted to take things to a new level of commitment and publicly make our relationship known (via Facebook).
Two weeks later Brook flew to California to spend 4.5 days with me. That weekend together confirmed everything that we had spent the past month talking about and praying for. Although I had a desire to step out of my comfort zone and move from California, I turned over everything to God, as I wanted to be open to whatever He had for my life.
The week prior to Brook’s visit, I had received calls from various Nanny positions & Massage Envy locations in the Denver area. It worked out that I would be flying out to Denver four days after Brook’s visit. The interviews in Denver were a complete success and I was offered the position! Two days later, on Valentine’s Day, Brook proposed and I joyfully said, “YES!” One week later I relocated to Colorado and on August 20, 2011, I married my best friend!
