Tammy & Aaron: ''We have learned waiting on God is what it is all about''

Tammy and Aaron are due to be married in May 2019. Christian Mingle is delighted to have played a role in their love story and wish them and their family every happiness for the future!

How did you meet? What was your first date like?

Well , we live 14 hours apart and at first I told him, I think we should just be Facebook friends because the distance was just too far. But after long talks and face time calls we decided to meet in person.

It was so magical coming down the escalator at the airport. Our eyes met and we both had the biggest smiles, it was like no one else was in the airport, yes we kissed right away!

I stayed in a beautiful hotel and he was a great host and such a gentleman, picking me up every morning from the hotel. We had the best weekend. Dinner and movies and talking, and he sent me home with a new iPad so we could FaceTime!

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!

For me, I knew it was true love when I saw him over FaceTime with his son. I had prayed for someone with a servant’s heart and Aaron truly is that man. His son has a disability, and he loves and cares for his son so sweetly.

He also listened and wanted to know my story and we just wanted to be together every minute since we met.

What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?

Don’t limit God. His plans are not ours. We are getting married after dating for 2 years and we will live apart a year after we are married so my son can finish high school in this state. I remember adding to my profile “please only people in Georgia.” But this time apart has grown us both closer to each other and we have learned waiting on God is what it is all about.

This May all 6 kids will be in our wedding (their request), and they all are so happy for us.

Delayed gratification is hard in these times we live in. But God is making us a new creation and often that may include a different plan than we imagined, but it grows us. We have lived in a constant “countdown “ between visits but it is important that we be sensitive to our kids needs as well. This May all 6 kids will be in our wedding (their request), and they all are so happy for us.

God really does “exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think !” It’s ok if it’s a hard situation if God has told you this is his plan, you can do it through HIS strength and grace even several states apart.
