What can you tell us about the wedding?
“We had a small indoor wedding that included about 70 people. Which was perfect for us because we both wanted a wedding that was centered around Christ and what He has done in our lives. My sister and her husband who met on Christian Mingle as well were there along with our other siblings and family. Meeting the one person God has picked out for a lifetime can be hard waiting but worth the happiness and blessings it brings. Glory to God.”
How did you meet? What was your first date like?
“I (Susanna) actually was prompted to sign up by my younger sister and after many sleepless nights I signed up on a Sunday and ran across his page on a Tuesday. He was actually a few days away from his subscription ending so us meeting was truly God’s timing. I read his profile and what caught my attention was his love for the Lord and how He was the focus of his life, I knew he was the one. The next morning like a lady I waited for him to start the conversation, he messaged me to come down to meet him. I drove from Georgia to Florida for our first date because I had a more flexible work schedule. We went to visit a lighthouse which was very special and beautiful. Meeting him for the first time was so relaxed and I felt like I knew him forever.”
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
“I felt love for him right away but I waited patiently and he told me two months after dating that he loved me and wanted me to meet his family and he mine.”
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members, who are still looking for love?
“The best advice I could give anyone is be patient. My husband was 42 when we met and he told me he would have waited longer till he found the one. The one God has planned for you might not be ready yet or maybe you are not ready yet. God prepares both individuals separately before they can come together. God was working on me for years; I was learning patience, loving others, and kindness.”
