I prayed to the Lord for a loving wife for my birthday. God answered my prayers for just a few days before my 52nd birthday, I received a message from Pat on Christian Mingle. I read her profile and was immediately intrigued-the only setback was that we lived 2,500 miles apart!
She lived in Mississippi at the time, while I lived in Canada. Despite the distance we chatted and talked on the phone on a daily basis. The more I talked to her, the more I realized how special she was and so I decided to visit her in Mississippi at the end of August of last year.
I still remember how my heart skipped a beat when I saw her smiling at me at the airport! It was exciting to finally meet in person after all the conversations we had, and to learn more about each other. We developed a really strong connection and continued to speak on a daily basis thereafter. It was clear that we were perfect for each other! When I visited her last Christmas we both knew it in our hearts that our next step was to become husband and wife. I met her family that holiday and we got engaged on December 23rd!
Pat eventually moved to Canada on March of this year, and we were married on June 30 in a lovely log church in Hudson’s Hope, British Columbia. We couldn’t be happier and cannot wait for what God has in store for us!
