Josh first messaged me on September 20, 2013. We had our first date one week later. A quick cup of coffee turned into 5 hours of conversation. I was so sure of Josh at this point, I ran home and told my mom that this was the man I was going to marry. Just 4 months later (on my birthday), Josh proposed to me by waking me up with Hershey kisses thrown at my window and a pretty walk in the snow. We got married 5 months after that on June 7, 2014.
God made it clear to us from the start that we were meant for each other! We had the same hobbies, similar families, the same dreams of homeschooling, etc. Also, from the start of our relationship, we prayed together. We would recommend this to any new couple. It was probably what made us so close so quickly. Josh lived 3 hours away, and in addition to meeting up on weekends, we would talk and pray on the phone for hours at a time. We learned a lot about each other during those talks.
Both our families and sets of friends were very encouraging about our relationship, even though it was moving so fast! Because of all the encouragement, we felt that God was with us and really wanted us to be together!
We are so blessed to have met on Christian Mingle! It really does work. We had a beautiful wedding at The Meadows in Hellertown, PA and are continuing on our journey of newlywed life!
