Lexy and Tony didn’t get discouraged by the distance between them and kept on believing that God will help them to find a way. They are now happily engaged and plan their life together. How did you meet? What was your first date like? Tell us all the details!
Well, I live in KY and he lives in FL….so I first met him in person when I picked him up at the airport. Since it has been a long distance relationship, we don’t have “dates” really….we just fly to each other to be in ones presence.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I met him on Christian Mingle in August 2017. Only saw him once in October 2017. I remember thinking in February when he sent me a card out of nowhere in the mail during a stressful time that said, “I love you Momma”….that something was different with us.
By September I knew that I loved this man but didn’t know how God was going to close the distance and prayed for clarity from the Lord about if this man was His plan or my plan. He told me to hand Tony over to Him to work on and that he would be my husband one day. All unbeknownst to Tony.
And so I trusted in Him and believed that the Lord would work out the details. Exactly a year later to the day (Tony didn’t know about God speaking to me…it’s a dated journal entry) Tony proposed.
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
That nothing is outside of God’s sovereignty and if you allow Him to be the miracle worker that He is, He really does come through. Believe that He has a partner out there for you and wait for that man/woman. You won’t be disappointed in who God has hand picked for you.
