I met my husband Ed on Christian Mingle in May of 2012. We were both at a point in life where after years of hurt, we had given control to God with our hopes for a future relationship. It’s amazing what happens when you relinquish control to Him.
I had two simple rules for online dating; never email the man first and never email a guy that didn’t have a picture on his profile. I violated both of those rules with Ed.
Why did I forget my rules? His profile said he was a red headed soldier who was the world’s biggest smart alec. He was right on both accounts! We had our first date on June 2nd, became engaged on October 26th and got married on February 16, 2013.
God not only gave me a husband, but he gave my son an amazing stepfather and blessed me with two incredible stepchildren. Never give up hope. God has a plan for you; just trust Him.
