Warren’s Story: I joined Christian Mingle for one reason and one reason only: to find a Godly wife. I was tired of meeting women who said they were Christian but barely attended church or even walked with Christ. I figured Christian Mingle was the place to start.
I remember looking through the profiles and seeing this beautiful woman. I remember thinking appearance wise; she fit the image of what I would call my dream girl. I was captivated from the start. We had a number of great conversations over Christian Mingle and then on the phone.
Unfortunately, some personal issues came up and she had to break things off before we could ever meet. I was very sad and disappointed, but I understood. She told me that she would keep my number and if anything changed, she would contact me.
Well four months later, on April 4, 2012, Diana texted me a message stating she is on her way back from Washington DC and would be passing through Pittsburgh. She wanted to know if we could meet and I said yes. She met me at my job and we hung out all evening and had a great first date.
We fell deeply in love with each other and were married three months later on July 3, 2012. Because people would probably think we’re crazy, we ended up setting a future public wedding date for April 20, 2013. We even lived apart so people would not believe us to be living in sin.
It was hard since I lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Diana lives in Alliance, OH. We were about an hour and thirty minutes apart, but now we are married publically and it is wonderful. God truly presented to me my dream girl and I made the choice to marry this beautiful spirit-filled woman. This scripture says it all, Proverbs 18:22; “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.”
Diana’s Story: I remember when I first saw Warren’s picture on Christian Mingle in January 2012, I wanted to know more about this man with the wonderful smile. He appeared so friendly and sweet in his picture, there was just something about him that I kept being drawn back to. I read his profile and was still interested.
Warren and I exchanged correspondence on Christian Mingle’ s site for a few weeks. He would send me Bible verses and a prayer in the mornings that God would bless my day and watch over me. This got my attention and I was excited to be communicating with a godly man. Due to some other issues that were going on in my life, I decided that it would be best to not date at that time. I sent Warren a message that I was going to cancel my profile. He accepted my decision and gave me his cell # and his personal email if I would want to contact him in the future.
I could not get his picture out of my mind and 3 months later I texted him and asked if he would like to meet; luckily he said yes. We met the next day and I was not disappointed! He was handsome and sharply dressed and funny… and did I say handsome?
But the best part was that underneath that cute face and muscular body was a godly man who truly desired to please the Lord. It didn’t take long to know that he was the man that I wanted to grow old with. Three months later we were married and I am so blessed to be his wife and have the opportunity to love him every day.
