Steven and I met on Christian Mingle on January 19th, 2013. We talked for a few days on the website, and after realizing that we lived within fifteen minutes of each other, and went to the same church in Columbus, we decided to meet for coffee on January 26th. We hit it off immediately, and went to a hockey game later that night. On February 8th, we “officially” started dating.
We celebrated our six month anniversary together in August, but shortly thereafter, we actually broke things off for a while; mainly because Christ wasn’t the most important part of our relationship.
After six weeks of not communicating, Steven contacted me and explained that God kept putting me on his heart and that he couldn’t stop thinking about me. I was pretty adamant about my single disposition at the time, and really just wanted to be friends with him. However, after a few weeks of being “just friends” and meeting for coffee and such, I could tell that the Lord had changed him so much, and because of that my attraction to him was so much stronger than before.
We began dating again in December of 2013 and on June 13th, 2014, he asked me to be his wife! Christian Mingle allowed us to connect immediately and if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be spending our lives together, growing in love, in Christ, and starting a family. Thank you for all that you do and for literally allowing me the opportunity of a lifetime! I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Steven and I will be forever grateful to Christian Mingle for bringing us together.
