Allison and Louis met on Christian Mingle and are now engaged. Christian Mingle is so pleased to have played a role in their love story and wishes them every joy for the big day and for their future together.
How did you meet? What was your first date like? Tell us all the details!
We met on Christian Mingle when Louis initiated a conversation with me. He simply said “Hey Allison. How are you?” which was very different than what other guys were messaging me.
We talked online for about two days and then Louis’ subscription was about to expire so he asked for my number. Very smoothly. Haha!
After texting for a few days we decided to go out on a date. After talking about what we should do, Louis decided that we should go to the mall in Norfolk and just walk around and get to know each other.
So we did that and after looking at Christian books in Barnes and Noble and telling out testimonies at Pottery Barn, we decided to go get milkshakes and talk some more. So went to Doumar’s to get milkshakes and didn’t leave until 11:30 pm! We had such a good time that we decided to go out again!
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
and then later on Valentine’s Day when he gave me a note taking Bible with verses he underlined and notes about how he’d love me! I cried when I opened it!
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
Don’t be afraid to tell the wrong guys no. Be upfront with them. I went on a date 5 days before going on a date with my future husband and I’m glad I was able to see what I didn’t want and I wasn’t afraid to tell the wrong guy no while waiting for the right guy. 🙂
