Wanda and DeWayne were married April 19, 2013. Christian Mingle is so proud to have been a part of their love story and wish them every happiness for their future together.
How did you meet? What was your first date like?
DeWayne: Met in the middle, ate pizza and went shoe shopping.
Wanda: Our first date was at a shopping mall that was at a halfway point for both of us. We walked around a bit, looking for shoes, then went out for pizza.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
DeWayne: She knew I was the guy on the first date, It took me a few months.
That’s when I fell in love with his heart.
Wanda: During that first pizza meal we talked about our families and our passions. That’s when I fell in love with his heart. I could see the tenderness and passion he had in working with his softball team and the hopes of turning it into a ministry.
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
DeWayne: Don’t assume anything, meet and enjoy their company.
Wanda: Never give up and don’t limit yourself to a certain area. My husband thought my location was too far away, but I’m glad he took the risk. No regrets!
