How did you meet? What was your first date like?
On our first date, we met at Starbucks where we had great conversation over coffee. Afterwards, we went for a walk and got smoothies, enjoying each other’s company and sharing lots of laughs. The day flew by, and we didn’t want it to end. It was a wonderful experience filled with connection and laughter.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
We knew it was true love because we initially connected through Christian Mingle, drawn together by our mutual profiles highlighting our love for God. Meeting in person strengthened our connection, confirming that our individual devotion to God was genuine. We spent Sundays together attending church, hiking, and deepening our bond through meaningful conversations and shared experiences. Our shared faith and the joy we found in each other affirmed that our love was real and enduring.
What can you tell us about the proposal?
We went for a walk before a rainstorm, my tiny chihuahua by my side, Andrew gave me the most amazing speech about how much he loved me and wanted to spend every day with me. With heartfelt sincerity, Andrew got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was a magical moment, filled with love and the promise of a beautiful future together.
What can you tell us about the wedding?
Our wedding was a whirlwind of love and faith, with Andrew and I deciding to tie the knot just 94 days after getting engaged. Despite the short notice, people from all over the U.S. came to show their support, which meant the world to us. With our strong faith and love for God, we felt ready and didn’t want to delay our union. Our wedding day was marked by a beautiful symbolism as it took place before a rainstorm, fitting perfectly with our chosen theme. The sky blessed us with a breathtaking display of a rainbow amidst storm clouds, creating stunning photo opportunities that we’ll cherish forever. Knowing my love for animals, Andrew and I decided to incorporate that into our wedding décor. Each table had a fish as the centerpiece, adding a touch of whimsy and reflecting my passion for animals. As if planning a wedding wasn’t exciting enough, Andrew and I embarked on a mission trip to Germany with our church a month before the big day. It was a whirlwind of emotions and experiences, but it only deepened our bond and reaffirmed our commitment to each other and to our faith.
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members still looking for love?
Remember, you are 100% a person, and so is the person you’re seeking. It’s about two imperfect individuals coming together to navigate life with God at the center. Prioritize compatibility in faith and values, trusting in God’s timing, and remaining actively involved in your church community. Marriage is a journey that aims to make both partners more holy, so focus on becoming the person God wants you to be and cultivating qualities of love, kindness, and patience as you wait for the right person to walk alongside you.
