We first connected on Christian Mingle on January 13, 2013. Neither of us recalls who made the first move. Ha-ha! I was a bit skeptical about the whole process, but eventually agreed to go on a date on February 1, 2013. The first date was a huge success. We hit it off right away and saw each other a second time a week later. The rest truly is history!
We were inseparable afterwards, and we found ourselves falling in love quickly with not only each other, but each other’s family. We come from similar backgrounds and upbringings. A year and a half of dating brought us so much joy, laughter, memories, and growing even closer together.
The subject of marriage came up after several months of dating, but became very real and serious during the spring of 2014. We went to look at rings in May of 2014, and I (Kelli) have been waiting anxiously and (not so patiently) ever since!!
We got engaged on August 16, 2014! He proposed at sunset in a wheat field (he is a farmer) with his family there to capture the moment. It was a total surprise to all of us! We plan to be married on June 6th, 2015! We are SO excited!! Alex is my best friend and other half, and I can’t imagine my life without him!
