Despite living three hours apart, Hannah and Kevin met on Christian Mingle and fell for each other during their first, eleven-hour date! We met through Christian Mingle! We started chatting one evening through the app. Chatting turned into phone calls and Skype sessions because we live over three hours apart.

We went to lunch at quaint cafe, walked around down town in the sweltering July heat (this is when I knew he truly liked me), walked through Ikea fantasizing about our dream homes (and mutually agreeing that if this relationship worked out that we would definitely be having soft-close drawers in our kitchen), and smelled almost every single candle in the Yankee Candle store (he likes clean, fresh scents and I like scents that smell like baked goods).
We ended the day overlooking the skyline at the top of the Pyramid in Memphis. I asked him then if he thought I could have a second date; he says that I beat him to the punch before he could ask, but I already had a pretty good idea that the feeling was mutual!
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
When he was willing to give up his dream car if it meant financial stability for our future. It didn’t have anything to do with the money, but the fact that the one thing he had spent years and years saving up for he was willing to give up to ensure he would be able to take care of me and our future family well.
That was the moment that I knew that he could love and care for me in a way that reflects Christ’s sacrificial love for His people
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
Be your true, authentic self. Be honest about what you’re looking for and what is important to you. There’s no point in putting on a facade and leading someone to believe that you’re something different than what you are. Also, don’t be afraid to give something a chance because you never know where it may lead!
