Eddie and I met in July of 2012, after emailing through Christian Mingle for a week and conversing for hours on end by telephone. We lived two and half hours away from each other but arranged to meet in Columbus, OH in July. Eddie says he was in love at first sight and knew that if I liked him as well as he liked me, he would ask me to marry him! This was quite amazing since he had never been married before!
I was drawn to his picture on Christian Mingle and after hoping he would contact me for about 2 weeks, I finally contacted him. He swears he never saw my picture, because as soon as he saw it, he knew there was a special connection. I felt the same way when I saw his photo. Our first date was wonderful and, because of all our communication previously, it was easy and fun.
It felt like we had known each other forever. We seemed to close every restaurant and yogurt place we went to! After about a month, I introduced Eddie to my children and grandchildren and they instantly fell in love with him. We were so compatible in every way and our time spent together was always so much fun.
In October, Eddie asked me to marry him and we had a beautiful December wedding, in which my son walked me down the aisle and my daughter was my matron of honor. All 7 of my grandchildren were in the wedding, too and now my family was complete again!
My first husband had passed away, and even though I could never replace him, Eddie has brought a joy back to my life and a love that I never thought I would feel again. He says that I have fulfilled his life-long dream of a mate that he could not only share his love with, but also his faith. Because of Christian Mingle, I have met, and married, my “Prince Charming” who rescued me. Thank you!
