Benjamin and Elizabeth got engaged on December 5th! They met in Portland, Oregon, and on their first date, they saw a movie, checked out the zoo, tried some local restaurants, went to the beach, and even went to church together. From that very first day, they just clicked, and with every adventure after that, it became clear they were meant for each other.
How did you meet? What was your first date like?
We met in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. Our love continued to grow as we got to know each other, and we were both very excited to meet! We saw a movie, visited the zoo, ate at local restaurants, explored nearby places, went to the beach, attended church together, and met some of her family and friends.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
We missed each other very much a few weeks after our date, and then I found out I had an extra weekend off work. So I went up there while I was off! We planned even more adventures and started talking about the future together around that time. We loved everything about each other, and it felt like we were getting along very well. We started talking about some of these things while swimming together, and our love story has been flourishing ever since.
What can you tell us about the proposal?
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members, who are still looking for love?
Look for the green flags in someone, and if a person seems to be a good communicator and has mutual attraction, that can be a good sign. Don’t give up on finding love, because it will occur when you least expect it. It will be someone who loves you for who you are and that you can be yourself around. They will be the right person, no matter what. Cherish them and never let them go when you find them, because they are truly a gift from God.
