Dr. Robert Pierce
Founded in 1950 by Dr. Robert Pierce, a young pastor and evangelical missionary, who had first been sent to China and South Korea in 1947, World Vision is a Christian humanitarian charity organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision seeks to facilitate an engagement between the poor and the affluent that opens both to transformation. The organization respects the poor as active participants, not passive recipients, in this relationship. They are people from whom others may learn and receive, as well as give. The need for transformation is common to all. Together, both World Vision and the poor share a quest for justice, peace, reconciliation, and healing in a broken world. World Vision is a global organization with offices in approximately 100 countries. These interdependent national offices are bound together by a Covenant of Partnership, a biblically based agreement that enables them to work together in a unified and complementary way, motivated by a faith in Jesus Christ. World Vision’s staff serves alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.
This devotion is predominantly used in the Catholic Church and among some high-church Anglicans. The devotion especially emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion, and long-suffering of the heart of Christ towards humanity. The origin of this devotion in its modern form is derived from a French Roman Catholic nun, Marguerite Marie Alacoque, who said she learned the devotion from Jesus during a mystical experience. Predecessors to the modern devotion arose unmistakably in the Middle Ages in various facets of Catholic mysticism.
Together with the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus Joseph is one of the three members of the Holy Family; since he only appears in the birth narratives of the Gospels, Jesus is depicted as a child when with him. The formal veneration of the Holy Family began in the 17th century by Mgr François de Laval.
Paul the Apostle, also called the Apostle Paul, Saul of Tarsus, and Saint Paul (c. AD 5 - c. AD 67), was one of the most influential early early Christian missionaries, with his writings forming a considerable portion of the New Testament. His influence on Christian thinking has been of utmost significance due to his role as a prominent apostle of Christianity during the spreading of the Gospel through early Christian communities across the Roman Empire.
The canonical gospels of Matthew and Luke describe Mary as a virgin. Christians believe that she conceived her son miraculously by the agency of the Holy Spirit. Muslims believe that she conceived by the command of God. This took place when she was already betrothed to Saint Joseph and was awaiting the concluding rite of marriage, the formal home-taking ceremony. She married Joseph and accompanied him to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. In keeping with Jewish custom, the betrothal would have taken place when she was around 12, and the birth of Jesus about a year later.
Good and nice church to worship
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12, 13). We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-eter¬nal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfec¬tions (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Full Gospel movement is an offshoot of Pentecostalism within Protestant Christianity. The Full Gospel denomination schismed from the Assemblies of God denomination in 1956 over doctrinal disagreements pertaining to Prosperity Theology to form their own distinct denomination. As such, special emphasis is placed on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and in that God wills for his children to be prosperous in all areas of their lives.

Members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are connected to the faith of the church through the ages and around the world. Lutherans believe in the Triune God. We are part of God's unfolding plan. When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere and of every time. When we study the Bible and pray, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story. When we serve others and address social issues that affect the common good, we live out our Christian faith. The ELCA invites you into this community of Christian faith. Welcome, and explore.
