Campus Crusade for Christ

Bill and Vonette Bright
Founded in 1951 at UCLA by Bill and Vonette Bright as a ministry for college students, Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational Christian organization that promotes evangelism and discipleship in more than 190 countries around the world. The Bright’s underlying concept was to “win the campus today and change the world tomorrow.” Traditionally, Campus Crusade for Christ has a team of staff based on a major state university. That team is focused on getting the gospel in front of every student on that campus, building into the lives of Christian students, and raising up leaders among the students to go abroad and help launch new ministries. Today, the campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian.
